This is not your traditional Youth Bowling League!
This is the Youth Bowling Academy designed to build up and grow the youth, by instilling key fundamentals, while they learn the art within the game of bowling! This program is geared for all youth from ages 9 to 17, some exceptions will be made on the younger side.
The Bowling Academy will start back up in late Aug. or early September of 2023 and again in the first week of Jan. More information will be coming soon. Saturday morning at 9:00am to 12:00pm and/or 12:30 to 3:30. One can join at any time during the season.
We begin each Saturday morning with fun bowling drills for the first 20 minutes. We encourage all the youth bowlers to participate in the drills.
Bowlers meet on their assigned lanes for league and prepare themselves for the 'One Step' drill by getting their bowling shoes on.
We will be using both hand balls full of sand with 3 different weights (2lb,3lb, and 5lb), Nerf footballs and swing training tools (Eileen's bowling buddy) to be used in performing the drill.
The instructors are all working together on the same page and move from team to team, encouraging youth, helping them to focus as they learn to perfect the area of the drills being taught.
The drills help each youth to solidify their physical game. Focusing on the major keys, to develop a solid game. The start and finish position are key in setting up a strong game. The youth will develop an easy method to grow their bowling game. We encourage the youth to take a little time at home performing the drills, with their parents, siblings or friends. This will help promote rapid muscle memory and build great new habits.
Our goal is to help Youth enjoy the game with victories all along the way, with little to no expense.
The lanes are turned on for 10 minutes of practice, then the three games are bowled for score. The first 5 minutes of practice time will be performing the one step drill. The second 5 minutes will be the full approach.
This is a sanctioned bowling league which allows all the bowlers to participate in any Youth Tournament that will take place throughout the next two bowling seasons.
